Home Jacey Harris Charlotte Carrivick Laura Carrivick
Band Although Jacey's main contribution to the band are her superb banjo playing and vocals, it is little known that Jacey also plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and clarinet. Jacey started playing banjo when she was 12 when, for no apparent reason, she decided that it was the instrument for her after having no previous knowledge of bluegrass music and only experience with wind instruments!

Charlotte started out her musical life playing classical guitar when she was 10. She picked up the mandolin three years later after hearing her dad play a couple of lively folk tunes that he knew and realised that she needed to play fast stuff! Within a couple of weeks she joined a school folk group and then began to focus on bluegrass after going to Sore Fingers in 2003.  Following this she started to flat-pick the guitar as well as learning banjo and fiddle. She also sings in the band. Laura started learning classical violin when she was 10 after many years of being desperate to play.  She started playing British folk a couple of years later and then took up bluegrass seriously after Sore Fingers 2003 when she did the old time fiddle course. In recent years Laura has also taken up mandolin, guitar and, this past year, Dobro which she plays in the band along with the fiddle and vocals.

Jeremy Carrivick Steve Williams Damien Scarr

Having expertly finger picked the guitar for many years Jeremy, father of Laura and Charlotte, first got into bluegrass at Sore Fingers 2003. Over the past few years he has built up his ability as a flat picker. He now provides superb rhythm guitar in the band.

After many years of playing keyboard in various R'n'B and Soul bands, he successfully picked up the fretless bass guitar when he joined the band. Steve tends to play with the band at more local gigs where his innovative bass lines contribute immensely to the band's sound.

Damien is an expert local double bass player who has stepped in on various occasions at bluegrass festivals around the UK. although usually at very short notice, having only learned the set a couple of hours before hand, Damien reliably provides flawless bass lines.
